In The Brewhaha Tearooms, in Buchanan Galleries on Tuesday 15th of June, Comedian & TV/Radio Presenter Fred McAulay was taking part in the Care for a Cuppa event which signalled the start of Diabetes week. He met with many people and had pictures taken inside the giant tea cup.

Diabetes UK are attracting people of all ages with their activities. Everyone who was there have all done their bit for Diabetes UK with fundraising events, from climbing mountains like Kilimanjaro to cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats, all of which are fantastic achievements. Catrina & Kirsty have just completed our own groups annual cycle round the island of Great Cumbrae (Millport to you and me)
Kirsty McFadden from our group (pictured above with Fred and Jane Claire Judson) is hoping to talk to her school about having a Care for a cuppa event also. Not only would this help to raise funds but also awareness of diabetes as a long term condition. Well done Kirsty, Get the Kettle on!!
