Programme For 2011 / 2012
Below is our list of events for the coming term. If there are any changes to any of these, the changes will be published here on the website.
The Group Safeguard all venues before these events take place to ensure the safety of all taking part however, please be aware that
whilst at these events, you are responsible for the safety of your own child/children
October - Tuesday 4th 2011
- Question & Answer Session with Dr Ian Craigie & Alison Johnstone (Dietician) in Yorkhill Cinema 7.00pm-9.00pm (Any specific questions you would like addressed please enclose with this letter) - the children will be participating in this event. Tea & Coffee will be served from 7:00pm
November - Sunday 6th 2011
- Glasgow Science Centre at 50 Pacific Quay, Glasgow, starting at 1.30pm
November - Saturday 18th 2011
- Teen Night in the Square - An evening of Ice Skating in George square, for the teenagers in the group. More details to follow.
December - Sunday 11th 2011
- Panto Time - At: The Tron Theatre. This year we are going to see Mr Merlin Pure Magic. It's for all ages so please come along. 1.00pm
December - Saturday 17th 2011
- Christmas Party Disco - at St Margaret's Church. 353/355 Kilmarnock Road, Newlands, Glasgow. G43 2DS 1.30pm - 4.30pm
February - Wednesday, 8th 2012
- Open Night - An evening for everyone to come along and socialise together. We don't always get the chance to meet up and chat and outside of event days, so here is the perfect opportunity to do just that in a relaxed atmosphere. We should have some fun for the kids and as normal there will be the usual refreshments available. So please come along to Diabetes UK Offices, The Venlaw, 349 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4AA (disabled access available) - 7.00pm Onwards
March - Sunday 11th 2012
- East Kilbride Park - for our 12 - 15 year olds.
- Soft Play Area - 2.00pm - 4:30pm Further details to follow
April - Wednesday 18th 2012
- AGM and Quiz DVD Night - at Diabetes UK Offices, the address is: The Venlaw, 349 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4AA (disabled access available) - 7.30pm-9.00pm
May - Sunday 13th 2012
- Summer Family Outing - We are all off for a fantastic time at Edinburgh Zoo. The bus will leave around 9:30am Keep an eye on the kids in case they don't get let back out!!! More details on the web nearer the time.
June - Saturday 9th 2012
- Fundraising Cycle around Millport - More details and costs nearer the time. As usual we will all meet at Largs for 9.15am and go over on the ferry together.
