We Give Too!!
Yorkhill Hospital - Children with Diabetes Fund
At The Medi Cinema at Yorkhill Hospital on the 4th of October 2011, we listened to a very informative talk from Alison Johnston - Dietician. It was much more than just about Carb Counting and I think it was fair to say that all who were in attendance, certainly learned something. It was also a great opportunity for us to get some of the kids in the group to present Alison with a cheque for £500.00 for the Yorkhill - Children with Diabetes Fund. It was a cheque that we had meant to give them some time ago but it's better late than never.
The picture below shows Alison with some of the group presenting the cheque and displaying their Artwork, commissioned by Alison at the start of the night.
Diabetes UK Scotland
On the 2nd of June 2010 we presented Diabetes UK with a cheque for £500.00
The Cheque was handed over by Collette Foord (Chairperson) and her son Gavin, to Jane Claire Judson the Director of Diabetes UK Scotland. The presentation took place in the head office in Bath Street Glasgow. Other Diabetes UK staff were also present.
We have received a letter of thanks from Diabetes UK, for this and for all the hard work that everyone involved puts in.

Yorkhill Hospital - Children with Diabetes Fund
It has been a great pleasure for us to have once again been able to present another cheque to Yorkhill Hospital for the Children with Diabetes fund, on the 9th of June 2010. This has been made possible by all the things we as a group are doing on a regular basis. Not only are we raising money for our own group but we also raise funds for Yorkhill and Diabetes UK.
This time we handed over £500.00 for the fund. We were asked to pass on "most grateful thanks" from Dr Robertson and his team. Well done to us all.
The cheque was given to Dr Kenneth Robertson Head of the Diabetes Dept at Yorkhill by Graeme, Collette & Gavin Foord, outside the hospital.
Also present were Gavin & Rhona (diabetes nurses)
